MEET THE TEAM

Rick learned his trade from his father Anton Maier, who came to Australia as a painter on the Snowy Hydro Project.
Anton established a reputation for exceptional quality and customer service. It is these values that Rick instils and builds upon with his own staff.

Never happy with "that's how it's always been done", Rick is always pursuing new innovations and techniques to lead the painting industry.

When not on the brush or in the office, Rick loves spending time with his family, fishing rod, skis or any combination of the above.

When Rick's not around, Owen's the Boss.

Meticulous and hard-working, Owen is the one to get it done.
Owen has the ability to get the whole crew working harder, without ever having a harsh word to say.

Owen has been with us for 13 years and recently used his long service leave (which he couldn't take during Covid) to welcome into the world his second and equally OMG cute new daughter.

A rugby player and a cricket/basketball tragic, you can normally pick Owen out on-site by the shorts he wears, regardless what the weather is like.

Clint - instantly recognised by his trade-mark red cap.

Clint came to us from Griffith NSW via Darwin NT, when we have a whinge he's quick to remind us that "this isn't even close to hot".

Clint is the bringer of jokes and stories and can make anyone smile.
He has a depth of knowledge and a keen ability to pass that knowledge on to the other staff.

When you're working with Clint you just know it's going to be a good day.

Tim - The Bringer of Tunes. What Tim doesn't know about music, probable isn't worth knowing.

A steady hand and a keen eye for detail. Tim ensures the apprentices always have someone to guide them and help them along the way.

Tim is the master of the moustache - you never know what you're going to get, but there have been some amazing ones over the years. Google "the monkey tail moustache" and you'll get the idea.

Quick witted and equally quick with a roller.

Joel is also charged with mentoring our apprentices, and from a family of teachers, it's obviously a natural skill set.

Hard to tell if Joel is a bigger NBA or Titans fan, either way if there's a game on it's all you'll hear about.

Matt has recently completed his Painting Apprenticeship and steps into the role of Painter.

He is loving the fact that he now has apprentices under him, and can regularly be heard offering the sage advice of … "when I was just starting out …"

A keen basketball, he is leading the push for a Paint Plus Basketball Team.

Matt has recently purchased his first home, a remarkable achievement for someone so young, and in this current climate.

Although Hayden is a Canberra local, he actually joined us all the way from England where he was training with the Fleetwood Town FC Academy.

With a natural ability to put new skills into practice, Hayden is proving to be a valuable addition to the team. We look forward to watching him grow into a qualified painter.

Hayden now plays for Tigers FC and has a mean right boot.
For all the Ted Lasso fans out there - "Football is Life"

Josh is our newest recruit. He joins us after having completed work experience with us through Mount Stromlo High School.

Whilst completing his work experience placement a number of our staff said "Rick, you have to put this bloke on!"

As an Australian School Based Apprentice (ASBA), Josh will continue to complete his Year 12 Certificate, through Erindale College's Talented Sports Program, whilst also attending CIT and our worksite two days a week.

As if that isn't enough, Josh also manages to fit in training and playing at Woden Valley RAMS Rugby League

Dana is the glue that holds us all together. Without her, the whole thing would come undone.

Chances are if you have received an email or phone call from us, it was from Dana.

Feverishly working away in the background, Not only does Dana organise the schedule, she keeps us on schedule.
